How Does it Work?
SIP trunking replaces the incoming phone lines or phone circuits from your local telephone company and instead uses a signal over your current internet connection. This works by sending the signal over the internet to your equipment or to a connection box on site, where we can then enable a specific number of active lines at that connection. SIP trunking allows Trace Routes users to make and receive as many calls as the number of lines that are enabled. The flexibility that SIP trunking provides allows our customers to easily add and remove phone lines as needed.
PBX (public branch exchange) refers to the technology used to route phone calls (Your Telephone System). Businesses with multiple phones require a phone system to function properly. Traditionally, on-premise phone systems require costly equipment which needs regular maintenance, repairs and a technician on site to make changes . Trace Routes utilizes Cloud a PBX which provides significant cost savings and simplifies maintenance. Our Cloud PBX becomes your phone system through a carrier-class server that operates within a state of the art network operation center (NOC). These servers provide all the features and functionality to operate your VoIP telephone service.
